General Program Information

The concept for the Conference is to establish a space within which all the countries of the Americas can gather to explore mutually important themes. At the same time, we welcome participation from beyond the Western hemisphere, inviting cross-pollination of ideas, strategies, and institutions towards our overall objectives in internationalization.

The central conference days will be October 21 to 23, preceded by Board and CBIE Chapters meetings and organized institutional visits on Oct. 20. An opening keynote address, plenaries, and workshops on Day 1 will be complemented by concurrent sessions on Day 2 and 3, with a lunch keynote address on Friday, Oct. 22. Networking opportunities will be scheduled throughout.

CBIE’s 44th annual International Education Conference is being organized in conjunction with the Conference of the Americas (CAIE); both conferences will be open to all registered delegates.

Simultaneous interpretation in four languages will be offered during keynote addresses and conference-wide plenaries. Concurrent sessions and workshops will be held in the language of the presenter(s).
