CIN is a public management and consultancy body created in 1985 that forms the nucleus of Argentine national and provincial universities. Its functions are: to propose and coordinate common policies for universities; to define and coordinate plans and activities in academia, scientific research, and in the management of universities, i.e. in those areas which are related to the organization’s objectives, but do not interfere with the activities that universities agreed to carry out by themselves; and to coordinate organizational policies, especially of members with distinct levels and jurisdictions of education, and also with cultural, scientific research and technical bodies.

The ReLARIES network is a forum for linkages, exchanges, and debate in the field of the internationalization of higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its objectives are to strengthen the internationalization of higher education in the Latin American and Caribbean region by deepening collaboration, developing joint management activities, and promoting the exchange of information and experiences among members and other networks/organizations, by contributing, among others, to the development and training of human resources in the management of internationalization.


The CEUB is the Executive Body for coordinating, planning and programming activities that are carried out by Universidad Boliviana. Its work is done in accordance with the decisions of Congress, the National Conferences of Universities, and Higher Education entities. In addition, it acts as a legal representative body before the State. It is responsible for creating editing and publishing books, documents, pamphlets, statistics, inventories, gazettes, bulletins, articles, and other documents related to higher education and university activities.

The FAUBAI was created in 1988 and regroups 180 international relations directors from Brazilian higher education institutions (HEIs). It works towards the integration and training of international relations managers through conferences, workshops and meetings, and promotes Brazilian HEIs within national and international organizations. FAUBAI aims to improve international exchanges and cooperation as mechanisms for the enhancement of teaching, research, and management of affiliated institutions.

With the joint collaboration of university presidents, the CRUB aims to gather its member universities in order to promote their integration, strengthen their autonomy, and find ways of improving higher education. The CRUB is dedicated to developing activities that are geared towards common themes in Brazilian higher education, namely discussions about university reforms, the National Assessment of Higher Education, scholarship programs, and the training of teachers in basic education.

Founding of organization of CAIE, CBIE is a national, bilingual, not-for-profit, organization dedicated to the promotion of Canada’s international relations in education, namely the promotion of the free movement of ideas and learners across national boundaries. Created in 1969, the Fédération des cégeps regroups 48 public institutions of General and Vocational College (Cégep) in the Canadian province of Quebec. Founded in 1911, the association is a non-governmental, membership-based organization headquartered in Ottawa. It has 97 public and private not-for-profit Canadian member universities. Universities Canada manages government-funded international partnership programs and grants more than 130 scholarships. CCYK is an initiative of the Universidades Acreditadas de Colombia network that has the support of the Colombian Ministry of Education, Crédito Educativo y Becas en el Exterior (ICETEX), Proexport, Programa Colombia Científica (COLCIENCIAS) and other strategic partners. The AUGM is a network of public, autonomous, and self-governing universities from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay, which, based on their similarities, have integrated academic structures and cohesion at all levels.
