This session will highlight the work Advance HE has done globally to support leaders in Higher Education (HE) and highlight a joint study focusing on leaders in the Mexican HE sector with the Institute of University Management and Leadership (IGLU) of the IOHE, the Universidad Veracruzana, the Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior (ANUES) and Asociación Nacional de Universidades Tecnológicas (ANUT). It will highlight how the study findings fit with Advance HE’s development of a global leadership survey intended to generate a unique evidence base for leadership in HE, highlight contextual variations across the globe and sector, and explore the impact of leadership development. This survey will be used to inform the development of a sector-led global leadership framework for enhancement and recognition.
