SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION TO CAEI 2021-VIRTUAL

The 7th edition of the Congress of the Americas on International Education, CAEI Chile-2021, was held from October 19 to 22, 2021 in virtual mode, having as central theme: “Chart the Future: Strengthening the Global Community of Knowledge”.

80 different sessions and activities were organized as part of this year’s event where 1,120 participants came in contact with international delegations, Chilean associations, and corporate partners through our virtual platform and were able to connect with various organizations and international education professionals from all over the world.

Top-level speakers like Jeffrey Sachs – Director of the Center for Sustainable Development and United Nations Advocate for the SDGs, Juan Eduardo Vargas – Undersecretary of Higher Education of Chile, Federico Zaragoza – President of the College of Southern Nevada, among others, greatly contributed to the quality of the academic program and along with the 215 lecturers gathered for this edition, provided valuable opportunities for discussion and knowledge exchange among the participants.

Government representatives and international delegations such as EduCanada, EducationUSA, Education New Zealand, DAAD, Jafsa-Japan, CBIE-Canada, Government of Quebec, Study in Switzerland, Study in the Czech Republic and private sector providers like Altissia, Aléas, Coursera, Unibuddy, UPlanner or View Sonic, among others, were part of the Expo CAEI 2021. A total of 29 exhibitors reached out and made contact with senior managers and decision makers from the many institutions participating at the conference.

Thanks to the very positive results of this year’s CAIE, the conference now accounts for a total of 6,620 participants and 1,500 speakers from over 50 countries represented as part of the legacy of the Conference of the Americas on International Education.
